The end is near! PIDP has been an excellent learning experience. It has helped be develop into the instructor I want to be. Now I just need to get teaching!
Following this program I intend on planning some training nights with my team at work. Because I am still waiting for my teaching position to begin, I will have time to start developing an in house program. This will allow me to apply my PIDP skills and give me the experience I need going forward.
I'm also going to look into volunteering as a tutor with our local college. They seem to always be in need. I know know where or what just yet but I think it's a step in the right direction!
Another opportunity that I am going to explore is, working casually at the local college. This will allow me to teach a couple of times per month. It will also give me the opportunity to create lesson plans and implement them.
Finally, I really need to work on my confidence. Other than putting myself out there I plan on giving this book a read. Hopefully it will give me the boost that I need!
